1. About this policy
1.1. Purpose. GenFlex.ai lets you create images and videos with AI. We want people to use it creatively and freely, while preventing harm to others, protecting children, respecting other people’s rights, and complying with the law. This Acceptable Use Policy (“Policy”) explains what you may not do with the Service.
1.2. Relationship to our Terms. This Policy forms part of the GenFlex.ai Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) between you and Extramile Limited (“GenFlex”, “we”, “us”). Capitalised terms not defined here (such as “Service”, “Inputs”, “Outputs”, “Your Content” and “Providers”) have the meaning given in the Terms. Section 5 of the Terms summarises the key rules. This Policy sets them out in full. If the two conflict, the stricter rule applies.
1.3. Who this applies to. This Policy applies to everyone who uses the Service, to everything you submit (prompts, text, images, videos, reference materials and settings), to everything you generate, and to how you use Outputs outside the Service. It applies whether content is real, fictional, stylised, animated, satirical or described as a “test”, unless this Policy expressly says otherwise.
1.4. Model-specific rules. Some AI models of Providers are subject to additional usage rules set by their developers.
1.5. Changes. We may update this Policy as risks, laws and our Service change. We will publish the updated Policy with a new date and, where a change materially affects you, notify you in accordance with the Terms.
2. Universal rules
You must not use the Service, or any Output, for any of the purposes or to create any of the content described in this Section 2.
2.1. Child safety. We have zero tolerance for content that sexualises or endangers children. A “minor” means anyone under 18, and anyone who appears to be under 18. You must not:
- create, upload, request or distribute child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in any form, including AI-generated, drawn, animated, stylised, “aged-up” or fictional depictions;
- create content that sexualises minors, depicts minors in sexual or suggestive poses or clothing, or combines a minor’s likeness with sexual content;
- create content that facilitates grooming, sextortion, trafficking or other exploitation or abuse of minors, including by impersonating a minor;
- create content that depicts or promotes the physical, emotional or sexual abuse of minors;
- upload images of real minors to transform them in any sexual, violent, degrading or harmful way.
2.2. Sexual content and non-consensual intimate imagery. GenFlex is not designed for adult content. You must not:
- create sexually explicit or pornographic content, including depictions of sexual acts, genitalia or nudity intended to be sexually arousing, fetish content, bestiality or incest;
- create nude, sexual, intimate or “undressed” images or videos of any real, identifiable person, whether or not they consent, including by uploading their photo (“nudification” or “deepfake pornography”);
- create or distribute non-consensual intimate imagery of anyone, or threaten to do so;
- use the Service for sexual role-play, erotic storytelling or companion-style sexual interaction.
We may block artistic or educational content that contains nudity where our systems cannot reliably distinguish it from prohibited content.
2.3. Real people, likeness and impersonation. You must not:
- create content that depicts a real, identifiable person (including public figures, celebrities and politicians) in a way that is sexual, intimate, degrading, humiliating, harassing, defamatory, or that falsely shows them saying or doing something they did not say or do in a way that could be mistaken for real;
- upload images of another person, or generate their likeness, without the right to do so and, where the law requires it, their consent;
- impersonate any person or organisation, or create content designed to make people believe it comes from, or is endorsed by, someone it does not;
- swap faces or insert a real person’s likeness into another image or video where the result could deceive viewers, except for your own likeness;
- use the Service to identify people from their images, build facial recognition databases, infer sensitive characteristics (such as ethnicity, religion, political views, sexual orientation or health) from images of people, or track or surveil individuals.
Clearly labelled satire, parody and commentary about public figures may be permitted, but never in the forms prohibited by Sections 2.1 and 2.2 or in a way that could reasonably be mistaken for authentic content. Our systems may block prompts that name real people.
2.4. Violence, extremism and hate. You must not create content that:
- promotes, glorifies, supports or recruits for terrorism, violent extremism or organisations or individuals that commit serious violence;
- incites or threatens violence against any person, group, animal or property;
- depicts realistic graphic violence, gore, torture, mutilation or death in a gratuitous or shocking way, or cruelty to animals;
- promotes hatred, harassment or discrimination against people based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, age or other protected characteristics, including hateful symbols used to promote hatred.
Fictional, historical, educational or artistic content that shows conflict or violence in a non-graphic way may be permitted, but we may restrict it where it risks being mistaken for real events or crosses into the content described above.
2.5. Self-harm and psychological harm. You must not create content that:
- promotes, encourages or provides instructions for suicide, self-harm or eating disorders;
- promotes unhealthy body image standards or dangerous challenges;
- shames, bullies, harasses or intimidates any person, or celebrates the suffering of others;
- is designed to cause emotional distress to a specific person.
2.6. Weapons and dangerous activities. You must not use the Service to create content that:
- provides instructions, blueprints, schematics or technical diagrams for making, modifying or acquiring weapons, explosives or their precursors, or chemical, biological, radiological or nuclear weapons;
- promotes the illegal acquisition or use of weapons;
- depicts or promotes attacks on critical infrastructure, such as power, water, transport, telecommunications, healthcare or election systems.
2.7. Illegal activities. You must not use the Service to:
- break any law that applies to you or to your use of Outputs;
- promote, facilitate or create content for illegal activities, including trafficking, the sale of illegal drugs or regulated goods, illegal gambling, money laundering or sanctions evasion;
- create counterfeit goods or imagery of them, or content that facilitates the sale of counterfeit or illicit products.
2.8. Fraud, deception and misinformation. You must not create or use content to:
- defraud, scam or phish anyone, including fake investment, charity, romance or giveaway schemes;
- create forged or falsified documents, IDs, certificates, receipts, signatures, official seals, banknotes or evidence;
- create fake reviews, testimonials, endorsements or social media engagement;
- mislead people about the authenticity of content, for example fake news footage, fabricated photos of real events, or fake statements by public authorities or organisations;
- spread false information that could cause harm, including about health, science, emergencies or public safety;
- present AI-generated content as genuine photographs or recordings of real events where people are likely to be misled;
- create deceptive advertising, including fake product demonstrations or before-and-after results.
2.9. Elections and political processes. You must not use the Service to:
- create content for political campaigning, lobbying or political advertising;
- create realistic synthetic images, video or audio of candidates, officials or political figures that could mislead voters;
- create false information about when, where or how to vote, or content intended to discourage or intimidate voters;
- run or support coordinated inauthentic influence campaigns.
2.10. Intellectual property and other rights. You must not:
- upload content that you do not own or have the right to use;
- create content that infringes copyright, trademarks or other intellectual property rights, including reproducing protected characters, logos, brand assets, artworks, film stills or other protected works;
- imitate the distinctive style of a named living artist, or use their name in prompts, in a way that infringes their rights or could mislead people about who created the work;
- remove, alter or obscure copyright notices, watermarks, content credentials or other provenance information in content you upload or in Outputs;
- use the Service to infringe anyone’s privacy, publicity, personality or data protection rights.
2.11. High-impact and professional uses. The Service is a creative tool. You must not use it, or Outputs, to:
- make or support decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on people, such as decisions about employment, credit, insurance, housing, education, healthcare, immigration or access to public services;
- produce content for criminal justice, law enforcement, surveillance or intelligence purposes, including identifying suspects;
- provide medical, legal, financial or other professional advice, or diagrams and images presented as authoritative professional guidance;
- produce content for safety-critical settings, such as instructions for operating machinery, vehicles or medical devices;
- produce evidence for legal, insurance or regulatory proceedings.
If you use Outputs in journalism, news, advertising or other content presented to the public as factual, you must review them carefully and clearly disclose that they are AI-generated.
3. Platform integrity
3.1. To keep the Service secure and available for everyone, you must not:
- Circumvent safeguards: try to bypass, disable or probe our safety systems, filters, rate limits or content marks, including through jailbreaks, prompt injection, deliberately misspelled or coded prompts, or splitting a prohibited request into parts, except in a security research programme we have authorised in writing;
- Extract or copy the Service: reverse engineer, decompile or try to extract source code, model weights, system prompts, routing logic or training data; or use the Service or Outputs to build or train a competing AI generation service;
- Use automated access: use bots, scripts, scrapers, crawlers or any interface other than the ones we provide, or send automated or high-volume requests;
- Share or resell access: share your account, sell or transfer tokens, resell, sublicense, rent or time-share access to the Service, or provide access to people in countries where we do not offer the Service;
- Evade enforcement: create new accounts to avoid a suspension or ban, or use multiple accounts to exceed usage limits or claim promotional tokens more than once;
- Coordinate abuse: submit the same or similar prohibited requests across multiple accounts, or coordinate with others to break this Policy;
- Attack the Service: upload malware, attempt unauthorised access to our systems or other users’ accounts, interfere with the Service’s security or performance, or overload our infrastructure;
- Misuse payments: use stolen or unauthorised payment methods, or make fraudulent chargebacks or refund claims.
3.2. Your responsibilities when using Outputs:
- Check before you use. AI Outputs can be inaccurate, unexpected or resemble existing works or people. Review every Output before you publish or use it, and make sure your use is lawful.
- AI disclosure. Outputs carry machine-readable marks and content credentials identifying them as AI-generated. Do not remove or alter them. If you publish an Output that realistically depicts a real person, place or event, or that could otherwise be mistaken for authentic content, clearly disclose that it is AI-generated where the law requires it and wherever people could otherwise be misled.
- Personal data. Do not include other people’s personal or sensitive information in your prompts or uploads unless you are entitled to do so. Do not upload identification documents, health records or similar sensitive material.
4. How we enforce this Policy
4.1. Monitoring. We use automated systems and human review to check prompts, uploads and Outputs against this Policy and the law, as described in Section 5.6 of the Terms. Our Providers may also apply their own safety systems.
4.2. Actions we may take. If we reasonably believe you have broken this Policy, we may, depending on the seriousness and frequency of the violation:
- block a request or withhold, blur or remove an Output or upload;
- issue a warning;
- temporarily limit features, usage or access to certain models;
- suspend your account; or
- permanently close your account.
Serious violations, including any involving Section 2.1 or Section 2.2, may lead to immediate and permanent account closure without prior warning. Consequences for tokens and subscriptions are set out in the Terms.
4.3. Reports to authorities. We may report illegal content or activity to competent authorities and law enforcement where the law requires it or where we believe in good faith that someone’s life or safety is at risk.
4.4. Statement of reasons and appeals. If we restrict your content or account, we will tell you why (unless the law prevents us or it would compromise safety or an investigation). If you think we made a mistake, you can ask us to review our decision at support@genflex.ai within six months. A person will review appeals against account suspension or closure.
4.5. No guarantee. Our enforcement is not perfect. That we have not blocked or removed content does not mean it complies with this Policy or the law, and you remain responsible for your Inputs and your use of Outputs.
5. Reporting violations
5.1. If you see content or activity that you believe breaks this Policy or the law, please report it. You do not need an account.
General reports: report@genflex.ai. Please include enough detail for us to identify the content (for example, a link, a screenshot or a description) and explain why you believe it breaks this Policy.
